Alimosho

Alimosho is the largest Local Government Area in Lagos State, Nigeria. This was according to the official 2006 Census conducted which reported over one million inhabitants in the area.  It is a local government in the Ikeja division. The local government comprises of areas like Idimu, Ipaja, Igando, Ikotun Ijegun, Agbado, Akowonjo and its environs. The Alimosho local government office is at No 3, Bada street, Williams Layout, Akowonjo, Alimosho, Lagos State. The widely spoken language in the community is the Yoruba language with Islam and Christianity being the dominant religions.

Ajeromi-Ifelodun

Ajeromi Ifelodun is one of 20 Local Government Areas in Lagos state, Nigeria. It is one of the biggest LGAs in the city, located close to Apapa. The community possesses a lot of fun and interesting things to do and places to visit. From local bars to clubs and great meals at an affordable price. If you are also an art enthusiast, the National Theatre is just fifteen minutes drive from the area. The Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Office is at No 1, Baale street, Olodi-Apapa, Ajegunle.

Mushin

Mushin may not be the biggest Local Government Area in Lagos, but it is definitely one of the most popular areas in Lagos. The area is famous for its rough street life and markets; from Ojuwoye to Olosha, down to the heart of Palm Avenue to Ilasamaja. Oshodi-Isolo

This is actually (most times) the landing point for anyone coming into Lagos state. Oshodi-Isolo is part of the Ikeja Division of Lagos. Until recently, Oshodi use to be one of the busiest places in Lagos. According to the 2006 Census, the population in the area is over 600,000 people. Areas in Oshodi-Isolo comprises of Mafoloku, Isolo, Shogunle, Oke-Afa and its environs. The Oshodi-Isolo local government office is located at Oyetoyo Street, Oshodi, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Ojo

Ojo is one of the many Local Government Areas in Lagos. It is at the South-West of the city. Ojo is a suburb of Lagos, home to the state’s owned University and an army cantonment. The Local Government comprises of areas like Iyana Iba, Ojo town, Alaba, Ajangbadi among others. The Alaba International Market in Alaba is home to electronics and electrical appliances. Ikorodu

Surulere

Agege

Agege is at the North of the State, a suburb and Local Government Area in the Ikeja Division of Lagos State. Agege is also one of the popular places in Lagos and known for its vibrant life. The Local Government Area comprises of areas like Fagba, Ogba, Iju-Ishaga among others. It is the city nicked with the famous brand of bread in Lagos – Agege Bread.

Ifako-Ijaiye

Ifako-Ijaiye is one of the 20 Local Government in Lagos state. Amuwo-Odofin is a Local Government Area in the Badagry Division of Lagos State. It is one of the 20 Local Government Areas in Lagos. It is often considered a border city considering its close proximity to the border. The Jankara market is one of the popular places to visit in the area. The Local Government is home to areas like Festac, Satellite Town, Mile 2 among others.

Apapa

Lagos Island

Lagos Island is one of the 20 Local Government Areas in Lagos that is located on the island. It is connected to the mainland by three large bridges which cross Lagos Lagoon to the district of Ebute Metta. It is also linked to the neighbouring island of Ikoyi and to Victoria Island. It is also home to one of Lagos’ busiest street – Broad street.

Epe

Epe is another Local Government located on the island. It lies on the north bank of the coastal Lagos Lagoon and has road connections to Ijebu-Ode and Ikorodu. The major occupation of the people here is fishing and it is also a point for the export of fish, cassava, corn, green vegetables, coconuts, cocoa, palm produce, rubber, and firewood to Lagos.

Ibeju-Lekki

Ibeju-Lekki is a local government area in the Epe Division of Lagos State, Nigeria. The name of the Local government was derived from two autonomous communities, Ibeju and Lekki. The Ibeju Lekki Local Government Secretariat can be located at Igando Oloja Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Lagos Mainland

Lagos Mainland is another one of the 20 Local Government in Lagos. It is a Local Government Area in the Lagos Division of Lagos State. It is located on the mainland at 2, Ondo Street, Ebute-Metta (West), Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Kosofe

Kosofe is a Local Government Area of Lagos State, Nigeria. According to the 2006 census, the population of inhabitants in the area is over 600,000. The area is bordered by Berger and Ketu. The area is home to the popular Mile 12 market, Alapere, Ketu and its environs.
